Seller Guidelines

mysoft.ai · Last updated March 2026

We built mysoft.ai to give AI builders a real distribution channel — not another platform that takes 20% and locks you in. These guidelines exist to keep the marketplace trustworthy for buyers, fair for sellers, and worth coming back to for everyone.

Read them once. They're not long.

1. Listing Quality Standards

Your listing is your storefront. Buyers make decisions in seconds. A strong listing converts; a weak one doesn't.

Every listing must include:

  • A clear, descriptive title (no keyword stuffing)
  • A plain-language description of what the product or service does and who it's for
  • Honest pricing — what the buyer pays and what they get for it
  • Delivery details — how and when the buyer receives the product or service
  • At least one screenshot, demo link, or example output where applicable

What makes a great listing:

  • Specificity. "n8n workflow that scrapes LinkedIn leads and pushes to Airtable" beats "AI automation tool."
  • A real use case. Show buyers the problem you're solving, not just the tech stack.
  • Accurate category selection. Listing a consulting service under "AI Agents" wastes everyone's time.

What gets your listing removed:

  • Vague or misleading descriptions
  • Placeholder content ("coming soon," "details TBD")
  • Pricing that doesn't match what's actually delivered
  • Duplicate listings for the same product

2. Prohibited Content and Categories

mysoft.ai is a marketplace for legitimate AI products and services. The following are not allowed — no exceptions.

Prohibited listings:

  • Prompt packs with no demonstrated output or use case (we are not a prompt store)
  • Products that claim capabilities they don't have
  • Scraped, repackaged, or resold content you don't own
  • Any tool designed to deceive, manipulate, or harm users
  • Anything that violates the terms of the underlying AI platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
  • Adult content, illegal services, or anything facilitating fraud, spam, or harassment
  • "Ghost" listings — listings with no intention to deliver

A note on AI platform compliance:

If you're selling a Custom GPT, Claude Project, or Gem, your listing must comply with the platform's usage policies. Jailbreaks, prompt injections, and policy-circumvention tools will be removed immediately and the seller account suspended.

3. Seller Conduct and Buyer Interactions

How you treat buyers determines whether mysoft.ai works. One bad experience spreads fast.

You are expected to:

  • Respond to buyer inquiries within 48 hours
  • Deliver exactly what your listing describes, on the timeline you specify
  • Be honest if something goes wrong — communicate proactively, don't ghost
  • Keep all buyer interactions on-platform until a purchase is confirmed (this protects you too — escrow only works on-platform)

You are not allowed to:

  • Solicit buyers to transact off-platform to avoid commission
  • Ask for or share personal contact information before a purchase is confirmed
  • Pressure, mislead, or make false claims to close a sale
  • Post fake reviews or arrange review exchanges with other sellers
  • Use buyer contact details obtained through mysoft.ai for any purpose outside fulfilling the order

Verified Seller status is available to sellers who complete enhanced verification (video call + portfolio review). It comes with a trust badge and priority in search. It also comes with a higher standard — verified sellers who violate conduct guidelines lose the badge and face account review.

4. Dispute and Refund Policy

We use escrow for a reason. Buyer pays, funds hold, release on delivery confirmation. This protects both sides.

How disputes work:

  1. Buyer raises a dispute within 7 days of delivery
  2. mysoft.ai reviews the listing description, delivery, and any communication on-platform
  3. We mediate and make a determination within 5 business days
  4. Funds are released to the seller or refunded to the buyer based on the outcome

Refunds are issued when:

  • The delivered product or service materially differs from the listing description
  • The seller fails to deliver within the agreed timeline and doesn't communicate a revised timeline
  • The listing contained false or misleading claims

Refunds are not issued when:

  • The buyer simply changes their mind after delivery
  • The product worked as described but didn't produce the buyer's desired outcome
  • The buyer initiated a chargeback without first raising a dispute on-platform

Chargebacks: If a buyer initiates a chargeback without going through the dispute process, we reserve the right to ban the buyer account. If a seller has an unusually high dispute rate, we will review the account and may remove listings or suspend the seller.

For service-based listings (consulting, custom builds): Scope matters. If your listing says "I will build an AI agent for lead qualification" and the buyer expects a full CRM integration, that's a scope misalignment — not a refund. Write your listings with clear boundaries. We'll hold both sides to what was written.

5. Commission and Payments

During the free launch period: 0% commission. You keep 100% of every transaction minus Stripe's processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30).

When commission goes live (Phase 3): We'll announce the change at least 60 days in advance. Sellers who joined during the free period will be grandfathered at a reduced rate — permanently.

Payments are processed via Stripe Connect. You'll need to complete Stripe's onboarding to receive payouts. Payouts are issued on a rolling 7-day basis after delivery confirmation.

6. Account and Identity

All sellers must complete identity verification before their first listing goes live.

Verification includes:

  • LinkedIn or GitHub profile link (must be active and match your listed expertise)
  • A brief bio and portfolio summary

Your account can be suspended or removed for:

  • Providing false information during verification
  • Accumulating multiple unresolved disputes
  • Repeated conduct violations
  • Any attempt to manipulate search, reviews, or the platform itself

We don't suspend accounts lightly. If there's an issue, we'll reach out first. But we will act if the integrity of the marketplace is at risk.
